I have lots of sympathy for those who wish to enter Canada as an opportunity to provide a peaceful, prosperous life for themselves and their families and are willing to work for it. Less for any who may be attracted mainly by our generous welfare system. Not sure how distinguishing between these can be built into our qualification standards but it’s worth the try.

Excellent article Mr. Black. Politicians tend to use immigrants/ refugees / asylum seekers terminology wrongly to support a view point. Federal Liberals like to accuse people of being anti immigrant when its frequently not the case. Many people, myself included, are concerned about illegal asylum seekers that drain our resources & money for people that entered illegally and do not meet qualifications to stay here. The problem has to be addressed but Trudeau is not stepping up (as usual)
