  • Perhaps this sounds a bit radical, but does this bring into question the ability of any government to manage major economic projects? Should they be left to the market?

  • How big does a project have to be and how expensive does it have to be and how much must we lose before government and the populace recognize that government has no place in business.
The MLAs collectively do not have the background ,experience or knowledge to make decisions of such a magnitude nor do their support staff.
Witness the state of our health care, education,or forestry in NS
And on and on-but we still keep returning the same MLAs because they “are nice” or “good citizens” or belong to “my party”
So we deserve what we get
As the song goes -they get the gold mine we get the shaft
Where have all the leaders gone

    • bill f: democracy ends with the counting of the votes; the political parties make sure of that. The party insiders do not want a “leader” who stands for the people , they want a “follower” who can be controlled . An independent thinker is not acceptable. Party insiders make the decisions based on their biases, the listed party leader makes the announcement.
      Politics in NS is evil.
