Will the Damage to Trudeau From the SNC Affair Be Lasting?

  • Good article which I hope will make people think at the next election.
As a long time Liberal supporter, I feel that the two women kicked out of both caucus and cabinet should be reinstated and the present PM removed from caucus and a new party leader be found, although it would be difficult with such a short time frame to the next election. If this were done it may be prudent to delay the election.
The sad part of this fiasco, is that the levers of power were attempting to support alleged criminals, and have made the remainder of cabinet and the caucus almost an accessory to crime, and some good MP’s are bound to go down to defeat under this PM.

  • Over the past 2-3 months we have watched this scandal evolve. For me, the climax was last week when Jody R-W revealed her recording of Michael Wernick. Wernick, at Trudeau’s direction tried yet again to pressure Jody into interfering with the Director of Prosecution’s decision on the DPA for SNC-Lavalin.

Justin is a lying hypocrite who was/is willing to pervert the course of justice in Canada for a Liberal supporting company and to pander to Quebec voters.

Today at a TO Housing announcement, he had the effrontery to talk about how Canada respects the “rule of law”, all the while doing exactly the opposite. He’s got to go! The ONLY Liberals with any integrity he kicked out of caucus. Elected to serve Canadians the Liberal caucus serves ONLY themselves & Trudeau.

  • Is there any thinking, political follower in Canada who doesn’t believe that Jody Wilson-Raybould was the one being truthful and that the Prime Minister was just playing CYA. I used to have a lot of respect for what seemed to be a new way of doing politics in Canada until this flagrant abuse of power against a female who was setting a wonderful example of the “new way of doing politics”. I will have a real dilemma when October comes around because I thought that Andy Filmore was a great candidate. But this time around I will have to take some other things into consideration. And by the way, there are many very good engineering firms in Canada that would have gladly taken on many of those SNC Lavalin staff to work on the projects that the Government of Canada will be giving to SNC.

  • Ever hear the term “There is nothing like a Woman Scorn ” ? This is not going away and will get worse actually. Firing a First Nations woman for standing up for Canadian Justice to deal with a deep international corruption case is probably the clincher. Then there is the economy and doors being slammed in the faces of Canadian Export Businesses . Trudeau’s will be the great rise in fall probably in the history of Canadian
    Politics
