  • Excellent presentation of this side of the issue Bill. Perhaps a look at the effect of municipal zoning, tax rates and building codes are next? The propensity for politicians to throw money at this and other problems means the issue never gets resolved. Remember that the entire Hydrostone area was built for low income families and disaster relief from the Halifax explosion. This approach can work again.

  • I saw a TV story recently about how Finland considers homelessness to be socially unacceptable. Apparently it has had some success in providing small, very basic housing units for those otherwise homeless. Can we learn from how other countries such as Finland have handled this problem?
