Balancing Act

  • I appreciate and enjoy reading your commentaries…wonderful counterpoint to anything else I read on the state of our province’s affairs…

Presentation is everything and judging by the “New Start” website you place a lot of value in a clean, crisp approach….this is compromised by a series of typos in your latest essay…I am a writer/editor by profession…I would be happy to proof the final draft of your commentary before it hits the public domain…but if it is not me then I encourage you to find someone within your group to give each piece a “once-over” before posting.

    best regards

  • Bill : the politics of industrial development mean that government is responsibile for jobs growth or lack thereof because politicans beat their chest when job numbers are up and ignore the numbers when jobs are down. There are a lot issues over which government has little control and one wonders why government throws taxpayer money into the wind as the challenges facing the pulp and paper industry extend far beyond Nova Scotia’s borders.
I look forward to the list of internal spending choices you will choose. These are in governments direct control yet this and previous government did little to take control of them.
