These are all very,very valid observations and points and, to the extent we are talking only about our own province, would likely result in many better outcomes than have been experienced in the past…Problems could probably arise when loan seekers started attempting to play one province against others.
This is a no brainer..The federal govt receives less business tax revenue from businesses in Atlantic Canada than it hands out in grants. By making Atlantic Canada a tax free zone and eliminating grants.. the govt comes out ahead financially..and wonder of wonders the kinds of businesses that the area will attract will be ones that are good at making a profit..rather than those that are good at getting government grants.

It is most presumtuous of cabinet to assume any role in “deal making” in a financial sense. Generally they are no more qualified to determine the economic viability of a business venture than they are to perform medical surgery or scientific testings.
In most instances taxpayers would be better served to pay financial applicants transportation to “The Dragon’s Den” than rely on the business acumen of our typical cabinet member.
