Trade is necessary – to bring in new money – to an economy that now, mostly recirculates transfer amounts. How else to increase our ‘prosperity’ ?
If the premier must go to increase the goodwill, fine, but it will only be measured as successful if there is an uptick in trade .
Ultimately, it is a matter of whether our produce is ‘competitive’. If it is – it will bring in new wealth – and will enjoy an increase in employment !
