I’m happy with whatever a sustainable market does to rural communities, but you haven’t made much of a case for their survival.

The missing part of this rural story is that the Province has shown no leadership .We need to first “take stock” of the economics and population of the rural area to have a baseline. Municipal governments should all have development plans for their “core” communities . Both levels should be building development funds to invest in core communities . They can invest to develop land ,to help expand a local export business, to attract population, to add a tourism asset ,and to promote and market their communities. The rural decline has to be measured to establish it’s base and then tracked to know what has worked or hasn’t . Private industry can be attracted if we try .

Raymond Plourde is part of the Ecology Action Centre which is a shill for Billionaires like Tom Steyer. His agruments are totally dishonest and really amounts to mischief in our economy . Ray and his crew believe in Fairytales like Renewable energy being free of environmental impacts and it being free ? Far from it
