  • As always Bill your articles in the Halifax Herald are always a pleasure to read, especially your column of this morning February 28th , 2026 . I am sure that many Nova Scotians would welcome you with open arms if you decide one day to enter politics and straighten out the mess we have on our hands now . You are a breath of fresh air .

  • I read your (always) excellent article in today’s paper about Premier Houston owning power problem in NS. I have sent emails to my MLA and to Houston himself chiding him for continuously harping about NS power rates and indicated to all that our rates are LESS by 40% than those in Alberta. All that gas to make power and Alberta is still higher. In fact we are right smack in the middle of Quebec (cheapest) to Nunavut (highest). He should shut up. He has everyone in a frenzy over NSP 4% increase this year, only about 1.3% over the inflation rate. How about Halifax’s property tax increase at 10.7% (at one time), now down to 8% or so? He doesn’t harp about that. Or grocery, gasoline, income tax.
